With Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders set to open on June 25, the excitement around Rockstar Games’ new phenomenon continues to grow. And although many details about the different editions that will hit stores are still unknown, one of the most frequently asked questions among fans now has an answer.
Over the past few months, there has been speculation about the possibility of GTA 6 breaking the usual price barrier in the industry. There were even rumors that placed the game well above current releases. However, Take-Two has already put an end to those theories.
GTA 6 will cost between $70 and $80 and will remain ad-free
Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, confirmed a few months ago that Grand Theft Auto VI will maintain a pricing policy in line with that of other major current productions. This puts Rockstar’s expected title in the usual market range:
- $70
- $80
Therefore, everything suggests that the different editions of the game will move within those margins, dismissing the most exaggerated speculations that pointed to much higher figures.
In addition, the executive also wanted to reassure the community about another issue that had generated some concern. Despite numerous theories that appeared on the internet, Take-Two assured that the main GTA 6 experience will not include integrated ads, thus ruling out the presence of advertising within the game.
With pre-orders getting closer and a release date set for November 2026, Grand Theft Auto VI continues to shape up as the biggest event of this generation. And as June 25 approaches, it seems that the countdown to return to Vice City is starting to enter its most intense phase.
Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will officially begin on June 25 on digital storefronts and at other select retailers.
