Following the launch in just a few weeks of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, all eyes of the saga’s followers are on Assassin’s Creed Hexe, one of the most mysterious projects that Ubisoft has in the works. And although the French company has not yet announced an official release date, new information suggests that the game could debut sooner than expected.
The information comes from insider Rogue Tx, known for sharing details related to Ubisoft. According to this source, the company has intensified development with the goal of having the game ready by June 2027, thus moving ahead of predictions that placed its release in the last months of the year.
Ubisoft has overcome internal problems that affected the project
The development of Assassin’s Creed Hexe has not been without difficulties. In early 2026, the departure of two important figures from the team was made public, creative director Clint Hocking and game director Benoit Richer, in addition to a reduction in personnel that affected several dozen developers.
Later, Jean Guesdon took over as creative director of the project, and according to various rumors, introduced changes to some initially planned elements. These would include the elimination of certain supernatural aspects and a supposed companion cat that had appeared in previous leaks.
New details have also emerged about the setting, which would place the adventure in the German region of Lower Franconia during the 16th century, in the midst of the witch persecution era. Rumors even point to a possible return of Ezio Auditore, although for now, there is no confirmation regarding this.
As always happens with this type of information, it’s best to remain cautious. Ubisoft has not yet announced a release date for Assassin’s Creed Hexe, but everything suggests that the project is moving forward and that the coming months could bring important news for fans of the saga.
