After weeks of rumors, leaks, and speculation about the cost of Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar Games and Take-Two have finally put an end to the uncertainty. The company has confirmed the official launch price of the game along with pre-order details, which will begin on June 25th.
The news puts an end to the numerous debates that had been generated in recent days and confirms that GTA 6 will be one of the most expensive launches of this generation, although without reaching some of the figures that had circulated on the internet.
Rockstar Confirms GTA 6 Price and Ultimate Edition
- According to Take-Two’s official announcement, Grand Theft Auto VI will be available on November 19, 2026, for Xbox Series and will have a price of $79.99 for the standard edition.
- The company has also introduced the Ultimate Edition, a version that will expand the experience with exclusive vehicles, special weapons, clothing, additional businesses, and other content spread throughout Jason and Lucia’s story. This edition will have an official price of $99.99.
- Pre-orders, as expected, will begin at midnight on June 25th, allowing players to secure their copy several months before the launch.
With this official confirmation, the supposedly leaked prices that appeared recently in various European stores and were later denied by several insiders are now a thing of the past.
