State of Decay 3 is seen in over an hour of gameplay in Alpha version

A new video has been published in which we can see a new and extensive gameplay of State of Decay 3.

We’re making our way through 2026, a year that promises to be one of the greatest and most intense in the video game industry, with a slew of important releases lined up throughout the months.

And although the year is far from over, we’re already seeing some announced titles with a rough release date in 2027, with clear examples even within Xbox Game Studios, such as Undead Labs with State of Decay 3.

New gameplay minutes of State of Decay 3 are shown

After several months with little new information about this third installment of the saga, we were able to see it again a few days ago at the XBOX Game Showcase, with a trailer that looked promising and hinted that it will be released outside of 2026, in addition to being multi-platform and coming to PS5 consoles.

We’ll see how long it takes to get more information about State of Decay 3, but for now, we can enjoy an extra hour-long gameplay video shared on YouTube by one of the guests who recently visited the studio.

In this video, we can see some of what we’re getting back from previous installments, such as exploration, vehicle use, zombie combat, and the fight to take over buildings, all with a very early alpha look, so this is far from the final product we can expect.

Undead Labs plans to release State of Decay 3 sometime next year, and we’re hoping to see more content and progress with a more advanced build in the coming months, which we’ll be keeping a close eye on.
