Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered announced for Xbox Series

The first three games of the saga will return in a remastered collection with visual improvements and new features.

IO Interactive hasn’t forgotten the character that gave rise to one of the most important stealth franchises in video games. Although the studio continues to work on 007 First Light, it has just confirmed the return of its classic adventures with the announcement of Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered, a collection that will allow players to relive the first steps of Agent 47 on modern hardware.

The collection will arrive on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC throughout 2027 and will feature the collaboration of Saber Interactive, responsible for the development and publication of the project alongside IO Interactive.

The first three Hitman games return with revamped graphics

Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered will bring together the three titles that marked the beginning of the saga:

• Hitman: Codename 47
• Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
• Hitman: Contracts

In addition to adapting these classics to current platforms, the collection will incorporate a complete visual overhaul with improvements to character models, high-resolution textures, and updated scenarios.

• For more nostalgic players, there will be a particularly interesting feature: a graphics selector that will allow switching between the remastered and original look of the games at any time.
• The collection will also add a photo mode, designed to capture the most spectacular missions and explore scenarios from new perspectives.

For now, IO Interactive has not confirmed a specific release date beyond 2027, but it has made it clear that the goal is to recover the essence of Agent 47’s first adventures without losing the charm that made these games references in the stealth genre.

For Xbox Series players, it will be a perfect opportunity to discover the origins of the most famous video game assassin or revisit some of the most memorable missions in the franchise with a technical aspect adapted to the new generation.
