Over the past few days, we’ve been keeping a close eye on all the moves made by Rockstar Games related to GTA 6. Although the studio remains silent, the calendar of events is starting to paint a scenario that many fans consider increasingly likely: the third trailer for the game could arrive in August.
The key lies in the moment the company is currently going through. Rockstar has focused all its communication on GTA Online: The Kortz Center Heist, the major update that has just been released and will monopolize promotion for the next few weeks.
Everything points to GTA 6 being the next step
Rockstar usually dedicates its entire communication strategy to a single major release or update. Once the promotional campaign for The Kortz Center Heist is over, the way will be clear to put the focus back on the most anticipated release in the industry, GTA 6.
Precisely for this reason, August appears as the most logical window for Rockstar to resume promotion of GTA 6 with a new trailer or, at the very least, with new information about the game. Additionally, considering that the release is still scheduled for 2026, the company will need to gradually intensify the marketing campaign over the next few months.
August gains strength as the most likely window
For now, Rockstar is not making any moves regarding the expected third trailer. However, once the promotion for the new GTA Online update is over, everything points to the studio refocusing its attention on GTA 6. As always happens with Rockstar, we’ll have to wait for the official announcement, but if the company maintains its usual communication style, August is shaping up as the strongest candidate to see the game in motion again.
