As the announcements from the Summer Game Fest and other June events still resonate, Capcom is already preparing a new digital presentation to showcase more information about some of its upcoming projects. The Japanese company has confirmed a new Capcom Spotlight, scheduled for this week, with an approximate duration of 30 minutes.
Although many fans were expecting new news related to Resident Evil, everything suggests that the horror saga will be left out of the event. Instead, other titles like Onimusha: Way of the Sword will have a prominent presence, and it’s not ruled out that the game will be the star of one of the most important announcements of the presentation.
Onimusha, Monster Hunter, and Dragon’s Dogma will be the focus of the Capcom Spotlight
The broadcast will take place on the morning of June 26th at 12:00 AM (Spanish mainland time), while in Mexico City, it can be followed on June 25th at 4:00 PM. Capcom has confirmed that the presentation will serve to provide updates on already available games and future releases, with the presence of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen.
- In the case of Onimusha, the appointment takes on special interest after recent rumors pointing to a possible release date change. Although it is still officially scheduled for September 25th, some leaks suggest that Capcom could move its release to September 4th. The Capcom Spotlight could be the chosen scenario to clarify the situation once and for all.
News is also expected about the Dark Arisen expansion for Dragon’s Dogma 2 and about the additional content of Monster Hunter Stories 3. However, Resident Evil fans will have to keep waiting, as Capcom has not included any reference to the saga among the confirmed games for the event. With an approximate duration of 30 minutes, everything suggests that Onimusha: Way of the Sword will be one of the main attractions of the night.
