September has left an interesting landscape in the Xbox market. According to data published by Circana (formerly NPD Group), Borderlands 4 has been the best-selling game of the month on Xbox platforms, managing to debut directly in first place thanks to its release at the end of August. Behind it are NBA 2K26 and EA Sports FC 26, confirming the usual dominance of sports titles at this time of year.
The big surprise comes from Helldivers II, which after its release in August continues to hold strong in the list. Analyst Mat Piscatella has confirmed that the Sony title has positioned itself as the fourth best-selling game on Xbox in September, after occupying the third position in August.
