Followers of the Halloween saga can now mark a date on their calendars. After its initial presentation, the new video game based on the iconic film franchise has reappeared during the Future Games Show, where it has been confirmed that its release will take place on September 8th on Xbox Series, as well as other platforms.
The proposal from IllFonic and Gun Interactive aims to bring all the tension characteristic of the movies to the video game, combining a single-player experience with multiplayer modes where survival will be the main objective.
Halloween is coming to Xbox on September 8th with Michael Myers as the main protagonist
- The new Halloween will allow players to live the nightmare from different perspectives. On one hand, there will be a single-player campaign focused on the story, while the online section will bet on asymmetric multiplayer, a formula that both studios already know thanks to previous projects.
- One of the biggest attractions will be the possibility of controlling Michael Myers himself, the legendary killer from the franchise, facing off against other players who will have to collaborate to try to escape his attacks.
- The adventure will take players through scenarios inspired by the universe of the saga, where stealth, exploration, and constant tension will play a leading role. IllFonic has previously explained that their intention is to offer an experience that respects the legacy of the movies, but also brings new situations for those looking for a horror game with a strong multiplayer component.
The announcement made at the Future Games Show clears up one of the main uncertainties surrounding the project and confirms that September will be an especially intense month for horror game fans, with Michael Myers ready to return to video games once again.
