The appearance of several references in a European store fueled speculation about the cost of the Standard, Deluxe, Ultimate, and Collector’s editions of the highly anticipated Rockstar game. Well-known leaker billbil-kun, responsible for revealing numerous announcements in recent years, has come forward to clarify that those figures are not real and that the numbers seen so far should not be interpreted as definitive prices.

Through a post on X, billbil-kun explained that the SKUs detected in the Portuguese store FNAC are simply placeholders. Additionally, he pointed out that the EAN codes associated with those products do not match the prefixes typically used by Take-Two for their video games.

Those SKUs are just placeholders because the EAN codes do not belong to Take-Two’s traditional prefixes. Therefore, those prices are random.

The clarification comes just as Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders are preparing to open on June 25, a date when the different editions and their official prices will likely be announced. Until then, it’s best to be cautious with any figures circulating on social media or appearing in stores, as everything suggests that the amounts seen so far do not represent the game’s actual cost.
