The new Prince of Persia is preparing to arrive on consoles: it has already been officially rated

Although its early access on PC began in May, it was still uncertain whether the new Prince of Persia would also arrive on consoles. Now, thanks to a recent classification in the Australian system, we can confirm that the title has been officially registered for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, which anticipates a very close announcement from Ubisoft.

This move not only confirms the publisher’s multi-platform plans but also fits the usual pattern of releases after early access on Steam. The game’s entry on the Australian Classification Board is dated June 30 and clearly specifies its availability for current consoles.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is a reimagining of the saga in 2D action-platformer roguelite format, with fast-paced combat, agile movement, and a strong trial-and-error component. Developed by Evil Empire (the studio behind Dead Cells), it combines comic book aesthetics with very polished gameplay.

Since its release on PC, the game has received periodic updates and improvements in progression, biomes, and combat. Although Ubisoft has not yet announced a release date for the console versions, the Australian classification is usually one of the final steps before launch.
