The Pragmata demo is now available and has served to test how the game performs on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, Microsoft’s current consoles. Although it’s a preliminary version, the captured technical material allows for fairly clear conclusions about each system’s approach.
The tests, conducted with direct gameplay, show a visually demanding title, but well adapted to the capabilities of both Xbox consoles, with evident differences in both resolution and graphics quality.
Xbox Series X bets on quality and smoothness, Series S prioritizes performance
On Xbox Series X, the demo includes two distinct graphics modes: one focused on performance and the other on visual quality. In both cases, the game runs at a base resolution of 1080p with upscaling, offering very stable 60 frames per second in performance mode. The higher quality mode also maintains 60 FPS, although with some occasional drops in more loaded scenes.
The result on Series X is very solid: sharp image, good effects loading, and a general feeling of smoothness, making it clear that this will be the reference version within the Xbox ecosystem.
On Xbox Series S, the visual cutback is more evident. Everything points to a native resolution close to 720p, with less detailed textures and lower on-screen element density. However, the strong point is performance: the demo maintains constant 60 FPS, with no noticeable drops during testing.
This strategy fits with Series S’s usual approach, prioritizing smoothness over visuals. The result is a stable gaming experience, although clearly less visually impressive than on Series X.
Although it’s just a demo and the game will continue to be polished before its release, Pragmata already makes it clear what each type of player can expect on Xbox: maximum quality on Series X and solid performance on Series S, maintaining a smooth and well-optimized experience in both cases.
