The Toxic Tangle is the new free update for Grounded 2 with a lot of new content

We’ve already entered the final stretch of this January and with it, we’re getting closer to the next big releases that this year promises, being one of the greatest and busiest years in recent memory in terms of major video games.

We’re also expecting to see a wave of new content for titles that have been on the market for a while and are looking to stay alive for the next few months thanks to new updates packed with novelties, with Grounded 2 being one of the best examples.

Grounded 2 Unveils Its Latest Major Update

This title was announced last year to arrive in a state of early access for PC and consoles, similar to what we had with the first game in the previous generation.

A few days ago, we were previewing the content that was coming with the next update for Grounded 2, which is now available for PC and Xbox Series X/S and it’s packed with content and many new features that will delight all fans hooked on this backyard survival game.

• The Garden Patch: a brand new area featuring three new laboratories as Ominent expands its operational presence
• PEEP.R 2K: enhanced SCA.B technology for scanning insects, collecting data, tracking materials, and getting closer to distant discoveries
• Comfort: decorate offices, laboratories, and outposts in the field to gain advantages that boost morale, with multiple levels of reward planned
• Ladybug Buggy: ongoing research into insect domestication and mounted utilities
• New Status Effect: Tang: research into corrosion and acid exposure (results may vary depending on the player)
• New Creatures: including black ants, fireflies, wasps, potato beetles, rove beetles, earwigs, crickets, woolly aphids… and something much bigger

Grounded 2 is expected to continue improving with even more content throughout the year, and we hope it won’t take too long to confirm the release date for patch 1.0, which will allow us to mark the game as “complete”.
