Crimson Desert continues to grow, and Pearl Abyss has decided to celebrate its huge commercial success in a rather unusual way within the industry. The South Korean studio will reward all its employees with a significant economic bonus after reaching 5 million copies sold of the game.
The measure affects the entire company and comes at a particularly positive time for Pearl Abyss, which continues to work actively on both the post-launch support of Crimson Desert and the development of other important projects like DokeV.
Pearl Abyss will give $5,000 to each employee after Crimson Desert’s success
According to the latest information from South Korea, Pearl Abyss’ management will give approximately $5,000 to each employee as recognition for their work during the development and maintenance of the game.
The company believes that much of Crimson Desert’s success is due to the team’s continuous effort after launch, especially the quick response to community requests and the constant release of updates and patches.
In fact, over the past few weeks, the game has received numerous improvements related to:
- Difficulty adjustments
- Technical fixes
- General optimization
- Balance and combat changes
- New game modes
This type of reward is not uncommon in the Korean video game industry. Just over a year ago, for example, Shift Up also rewarded its employees after the success of Stellar Blade, even giving away PS5 Pro consoles and economic bonuses to a large part of the staff.
Meanwhile, Crimson Desert continues to establish itself as one of the recent big successes in the Korean market, and Pearl Abyss reinforces its image as one of the most important studios in the current Asian landscape.
