The reservations for GTA 6 remain one of the biggest questions among the millions of players waiting for the release of Rockstar’s new game. Over the past few weeks, rumors have emerged about possible early openings at some retail chains, alleged leaks from distributors, and even theories related to the arrival of a third trailer. The anticipation is so high that any movement related to the game generates headlines around the world, especially now that the release date seems completely set for the end of the year.
Precisely for this reason, many players expected Take-Two to take advantage of their latest meeting with shareholders to clarify when reservations can begin. And although the company has not yet offered a specific date, they have wanted to respond to several rumors that had gained strength in recent days, making it clearer what the next step will be in the GTA 6 marketing campaign.
GTA 6 Reservations Will Kick Off with the Marketing Campaign
During the latest statements by Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, the company once again showed full confidence in the release of GTA 6 scheduled for November 19, 2026. In fact, the executive reiterated that they feel very comfortable with the announced date and that plans are moving forward as expected. To make it clear, summer starts on June 21 this year, so shortly before or after we’ll have a lot of information about GTA 6 and its reservations.
Additionally, Zelnick took the opportunity to deny some rumors pointing to a supposed imminent opening of reservations at certain commercial chains. According to him, this information is not correct, and official reservations are not yet active. The company confirmed that the process will begin coinciding with the start of the GTA 6 marketing campaign, scheduled for this summer. This also reinforces the possibility that Rockstar will share new promotional materials over the next few months, potentially including a new trailer or more details about the different game editions.
For now, Take-Two continues to avoid talking about the game’s final price, but they do maintain enormous economic forecasts for the next fiscal year, where GTA 6 will be the main protagonist. Everything points to the summer marking the true beginning of the countdown to one of the most anticipated releases in video game history.
