Smells like Street Fighter? The Capcom saga will have its own fragrance

With three initial fragrances the franchise reaches a new horizon.

Many of us were convinced that there was no possible way for Street Fighter to appear in another product line, given all the alternatives available in the market today related to the unforgettable Capcom saga, but we were wrong, as proven by the line of fragrances inspired by the latest game in the franchise.

The perfumes will be part of the Gaming Fragrance line created by the Japanese fragrance company CODE Meee, and will feature an initial release of three variants inspired by Street Fighter 6 characters: Ingrid, Juri, and Ed.

Now you have no excuse to smell good

According to the company itself, the idea is not to represent the aromas of the characters themselves, but to “convey the sensations of the game and the unique movements of each fighter”. For around $42, buyers can get floral, citrus, woody, and citrus-woody fragrances to cater to all tastes.

Takayuki Nakayama, director of Street Fighter 6, was one of the voices from Capcom that supported the product and highlighted the collaboration between the two Japanese companies to create something unique. In the same vein, the Czech company Kintsugi Perfumes had already launched a perfume based on Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 in May, so perhaps we’re seeing the genesis of a new trend.
