The start of 2026 promises to be exciting for fans of the latest Fatal Fury installment, a game that won the award for best fighting game at last year’s The Game Awards. The second season of the title will begin this month and seems to include 12 new characters, an average of one per month following the five fighters who joined the roster in the first season.
Kim Jae Hoon will kick off this new wave of additions on January 22nd, and the Korean fighter will be followed by Nightmare Geese in February, Blue Mary in March, Wolfgang Krauser in April, and two characters that have not been revealed yet, who will arrive in May and June of this year.
A season packed with content
Shinji Tamaki, the game’s producer, explained that since this installment is the first in the series in 26 years, the company received many requests for different characters in a very short time, which led to adjusting the development to produce more content.
Curiously, one of the characters briefly shown was Kenshiro from the Fist of the North Star manga and anime series, but it doesn’t seem like he’ll be part of this second season, although SNK might surprise us and offer him as free content.
