PUBG: Battlegrounds continues to evolve on consoles and will soon receive a major update for Xbox Series players. The development team has confirmed the arrival of two new graphics modes, allowing players to choose between higher image quality or a smoother experience based on their preferences.
The update will be available this July and, in addition to improving the visual aspect, will also include optimizations in loading times and other console-specific adjustments.
Here’s what the new graphics modes will look like on Xbox
The new available configurations will be as follows:
Xbox Series X
- 2160p (4K) at 60 FPS
- 1440p at 120 FPS
Xbox Series S
- 1440p at 60 FPS
- 1080p at 120 FPS
This way, players can decide whether they prefer to enjoy higher resolution or opt for a frame rate of up to 120 FPS, especially interesting for those playing on compatible screens. The update will also bring improvements in loading times, thanks to an optimization of the game’s menus to make navigation much faster and smoother.
But the changes don’t stop here. The studio has already announced that it’s working on future improvements for the console versions, including adjustments to the impact detection system and a new default control scheme designed to offer a more intuitive and consistent experience.
For now, PUBG doesn’t have a specific release date for this update, although Krafton has confirmed that all these new features will arrive throughout July, so Xbox players won’t have to wait too long to enjoy these improvements.
