Next week, a new and interesting free addition is coming for fans of competitive shooters. One of the most curious multiplayer FPS games of the last few months will officially become free-to-play and can be downloaded for free on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation.
We’re talking about Blindfire, a game that bets on quick matches within almost dark arenas, where sound and orientation are much more important than usual. Currently, the game is still appearing as a paid title in some digital stores, but that will change soon.
Blindfire will be free from May 5th on Xbox, Steam, and PS5
Starting from next:
- May 5th at 7:00 PM in Spain
- 11:00 AM in Mexico City
Blindfire will officially become free on:
The game stands out especially for its quite different proposal within the FPS genre. Matches take place in extremely dark scenarios where shooting can immediately reveal our position to rivals.
To compensate for that lack of visibility, Blindfire uses a system called Echo, a mechanic that allows for partial scanning of the environment to detect enemies and orient ourselves within the arena.
Everything points to the fact that the change to the free-to-play model will serve to significantly expand the game’s community on all platforms. So, if you’re looking for a different shooter to try for free this week, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on.
