Over the past few months, one of the biggest concerns surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI was the possibility of another delay in its release. The prolonged silence from Rockstar and the magnitude of the project had fueled all sorts of speculation, but now a key confirmation has arrived to put an end to the doubts.
The company itself, Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games’ parent company, has confirmed that the GTA 6 marketing campaign will begin this summer, also reaffirming that the release is still set for November 2026, with no changes to the planned schedule.
The GTA 6 release plan remains intact
According to Take-Two, the start of marketing this summer marks the beginning of the final phase of game communication. This move usually only happens when development is advanced enough and there is no risk of delay, especially in productions of this scale.
The fact that marketing will begin several months in advance fits perfectly with a November 2026 release, a strategic window often used for major AAA titles. From that point on, it’s reasonable to expect a greater presence of the game in the form of new trailers, more detailed information about its open world, gameplay systems, and protagonists, as well as large-scale promotional actions.
With this confirmation, Take-Two sends a clear message to both players and investors: Rockstar is moving forward as planned and GTA 6 won’t be delayed further. Everything points to the summer marking the true beginning of the final stretch towards one of the most important releases in gaming history.
