Microsoft has started rolling out a major update for Microsoft Rewards, the popular program that allows you to earn points by completing activities within the Xbox and Microsoft ecosystem. The renovation isn’t just about a visual change: it also introduces a new level system, more rewards, and new opportunities to accumulate points faster.
This is one of the biggest evolutions of the service in recent years, and it aims to give more active users even more advantages for participating in the program.
How Microsoft Rewards is changing
The main novelty is the introduction of three user levels that will determine the advantages available to each participant:
- Member
- Silver
- Gold
Progress will depend on various factors, such as monthly activity, the number of points earned, and subscription to Xbox Game Pass.
Users who reach the Silver and Gold levels will access additional benefits, including:
- New exclusive activities to earn more points.
- Discounts when redeeming gift cards and other rewards.
- More monthly points for completing objectives.
- Bonuses on purchases made in the Microsoft Store.
- Up to 20 points for every dollar spent on video games, expansions, and additional content.
A much more modern interface
Microsoft has also completely redesigned the Rewards portal, bringing it closer to the look we already know on Xbox consoles. Now it’s easier to check daily, weekly, and monthly progress, follow activity streaks, and view all available tasks at a glance.
The new design also includes a history of achievements and completed activities, allowing for better control over progress within the program and the path to the next level.
This renovation comes at an especially interesting time for Xbox players, as Microsoft Rewards remains one of the best ways to earn credit for the Microsoft Store, subscriptions to Xbox Game Pass, and even fund part of the purchase of new games simply by accumulating points through regular use of the Xbox and Microsoft ecosystem.
