If you’ve tried to make a purchase on GAME’s website in the last few days and couldn’t find the option to pay with PayPal, it wasn’t just a glitch. The company has confirmed that they have removed PayPal as a payment method from their online store, a decision that has caught the attention of many users who are used to using this system.
The disappearance of PayPal has been particularly commented on because many buyers took advantage of its three-part payment option, a feature widely used to purchase consoles, video games, or accessories without having to pay the full amount at once.
GAME confirms that PayPal is no longer available on their website
The confirmation came through GAME’s customer service on social media. After asking about the disappearance of the payment method, the company responded clearly:
“We no longer have this payment option on the website, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.”
For now, GAME hasn’t explained the reasons behind this decision or indicated whether it’s a permanent or temporary change. What’s notable is that, at the time of publishing this news, GAME’s official payment methods page still shows PayPal as an available option, so it seems that information hasn’t been updated yet.
The removal of PayPal represents a significant change for many of the store’s regular customers, especially for those who relied on the three-part financing service offered by the platform. For now, buyers will have to use the remaining available payment methods while GAME clarifies whether PayPal will return in the future or if its removal is permanent.
