Forza Horizon 6 has not been officially released worldwide yet, and already, the first extreme bans related to early copies of the game are appearing in the form of permanent suspensions for modifying files or using unauthorized content before the game’s launch. Several users have shared screenshots showing permanent bans after modifying files or using unauthorized content before the game’s release.
The situation is moving quickly on social media and community forums, especially after an image circulated showing a ban with an unlock date set directly to the year 9999. Everything points to Playground Games and Xbox cracking down harder on illegal modding and unauthorized early access.
Forza Horizon 6 bans are already appearing before launch
A shared screenshot shows a message from the Forza team indicating a suspension for “Cheating/Unallowed Modding”, i.e., cheating or unauthorized modifications. Additionally, the system reflects an absurd duration of millions of hours and an unban date set to December 31, 9999.
All this comes after early versions of the game began circulating, and some players tried to access it before its time through modifications or unofficial methods. Microsoft has taken similar action in previous installments of the series, although in this case, the bans seem to be much more visible from the start.
For now, it’s unclear whether these bans will only affect online play or also limit other connected features of Forza Horizon 6, but the message is clear: Xbox does not want mods or irregular access before the official launch.
