Forza Horizon 6 is continuing to dominate just hours after its official release, achieving another historic record on Steam. The new Xbox exclusive has reached a peak of over 264,000 simultaneous players, officially becoming the racing game with the most concurrent players ever seen on the Valve platform.
This figure comes during the first day of the game’s full release, after an early access period that had already yielded enormous numbers for Xbox and Playground Games.
Forza Horizon 6 Breaks All Records in the Series on Steam
The new peak achieved by Forza Horizon 6 leaves several particularly striking statistics:
- Racing game with the most simultaneous players in Steam history
- More than triple the number of players than Forza Horizon 5
- Over 264,000 concurrent players
- At least 1.6 million players purchased the Premium Edition for early access
The game’s success appears to be directly related to one of the community’s most repeated requests over the years: bringing the Horizon series to Japan. Playground Games finally granted that wish, and the response from players has been massive from the very start.
In addition to the huge growth on Steam, Forza Horizon 6 is also dominating the Xbox Store, Xbox Game Pass, and the lists of most played games within the Xbox ecosystem. The critics have also accompanied the release with very high scores. Currently, the game maintains an average of 92 on Metacritic for Xbox Series, and on Generación Xbox, we have given it a 10 out of 10 in our review.
Everything suggests that the numbers will continue to grow over the next few days, especially now that millions of Xbox Game Pass users can access the full game on console, PC, and cloud.
