Crimson Desert has just received one of its most significant updates to date. The new patch 1.06 introduces new features, special mounts, graphical improvements, combat adjustments, and a long list of fixes that affect almost every aspect of the game.
The update is now available on PC, Mac, and PlayStation, while it’s still being rolled out on Xbox, according to the studio.
Everything that’s changing in the new Crimson Desert update
Among the most notable new features is the arrival of special mounts, allowing players to domesticate animals such as:
- Bears
- Wolves
- Tigers
- Camels
- Iguanas
- Wild boars
- Deer
- Raptors
- Lions
Each creature now has its own trust and domestication systems, as well as new mounts, saddles, and specific equipment.
Another major new feature is the Extraction system, which allows players to partially recover materials used during equipment upgrades and refinements. Some special materials can even be recovered at 100%.
The patch also adds:
- New unarmed combat skills
- Visible sword scabbards
- Option to hide or show the scabbard
- New “Night Tone Mode” visual mode
- Reward machine in Laughing Marionette
- New cosmetic items and rewards
In combat, animations, chained attacks, weapon balance, and enemy behavior have been improved. Additionally, many issues related to skills, quests, NPCs, physics, HDR, performance, and animations have been fixed.
Quality of life improvements have also been added:
- “Clear all” function in inventory
- Skills search
- Home decoration improvements
- Interface improvements
- Fishing improvements
- New graphics and HDR options
The studio has also confirmed that the next patch will add new melee skills for Damiane, further expanding the game’s combat options. With this patch, Crimson Desert continues to reinforce its content and makes it clear that Pearl Abyss is committed to maintaining the game’s growth with new features and constant improvements.
