Xbox Insider program members are already testing a new update for Xbox Series that incorporates numerous improvements throughout the system. Although some features are small, together they represent one of the most comprehensive change packages in recent months, with new features for the home screen, library, customization, and cloud experience.
The company has also introduced several adjustments aimed at improving system stability and reducing energy consumption when the console is turned off. As is customary, these features will arrive first for Insiders before expanding to the rest of the users.
These are the main new features coming to Xbox Series
One of the most interesting additions will allow direct access to update notes from the home screen itself. Additionally, an indicator will appear when a confirmed incident occurs in Xbox services, allowing users to check the status without needing to resort to social media or external pages.
- New customization options, including colors using HEX codes and the ability to adapt the system color to the gamerpic.
- Display of common friends when visiting other profiles.
- Large game covers in My Library, with a cleaner and configurable view.
- Add games to the wish list before they are available for purchase.
- The Xbox Accessories app will display an image of the connected controller, including special models and Elite Series 2.
- More customization options available even without connection, such as dynamic backgrounds and dark or light themes.
- Improved Xbox 360 achievement art, maintaining a sharper pixelated look.
- Lower energy consumption when the console is turned off.
- Reorganization of customization settings, now divided between Home and Games and apps.
- Improvements to Xbox Cloud Gaming, showing the game cover during loading and eliminating the appearance of the Xbox logo before starting the game.
Microsoft has also corrected several errors related to update installation, library navigation, and overall system stability. Although there is still no specific release date, everything suggests that these new features will arrive soon for all Xbox Series users.
