Players eagerly awaiting the release of Battlefield 6 can now start downloading the game on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC, as Electronic Arts has officially enabled pre-loading a few days before its launch. This move aims to facilitate early access and avoid wait times on launch day, especially for those with slower connections.

The game, developed by DICE under the EA label, will launch on October 10, 2025, at 5:00 PM (Spanish mainland time), and its pre-download is already available on both the Xbox Store, Steam, and PlayStation Store, even for those who haven’t pre-ordered the title beforehand.
Battlefield 6 download size on Xbox, PC, and PS5
Electronic Arts has confirmed the installation sizes of the game on each platform, along with some specifics about the pre-loading process:
-
Xbox Series – 70 GB
-
PC (Steam) – 67 GB
-
PlayStation 5 – 67 GB
In the case of PC, the initial download starts with a 22 GB package, but after restarting the Steam client, it automatically expands to the full 67 GB. On Xbox Series, the game can be downloaded directly from the mobile app or from the console, without needing to have made a prior reservation.
The PlayStation 5 version also includes a modular installation, which allows players to choose which modes to install (campaign, multiplayer, or extras) and features optional HD packages, designed for those who want to reduce installation space by sacrificing some graphics quality.
With pre-loading now active, players can have everything ready for the game’s global launch on October 10, when the Battlefield 6 servers will officially go live on Xbox, PC, and PS5.
