With the official release of Forza Horizon 6 just around the corner, thousands of Xbox players are already preparing the classic New Zealand trick to access the game earlier on both Xbox Series and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
This method has been working for years with major digital releases and allows you to unlock the game earlier simply by changing your console’s region to New Zealand. In this way, access is activated following the local time of that country.
Release Times to Play Forza Horizon 6 Early in Spain and Latin America
If you change your Xbox region to New Zealand, you’ll be able to start playing at these approximate times:
- Spain (mainland): Monday, May 18th at 14:00
- Mexico City: Monday, May 18th at 06:00
- Colombia: Monday, May 18th at 07:00
- Peru: Monday, May 18th at 07:00
- Chile: Monday, May 18th at 08:00
- Argentina: Monday, May 18th at 09:00
The process to do this is quite simple:
- Enter Xbox Settings
- Go to System > Language and location
- Change the region to New Zealand
- Restart the console
- Open Forza Horizon 6 when the time arrives
The game will be available to both those who have purchased it and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users, as the release arrives directly to the catalog on the first day.
However, Microsoft has never officially recommended this method, and the official Xbox support indicates that region changes should only be made if the user actually changes countries. Nevertheless, this is a well-known practice within the Xbox community for years.
