A known insider believes Xbox will backtrack with Halo on PlayStation

The future of Xbox and its exclusives continues to be one of the most debated topics in recent months. After seeing several major franchises end up on other platforms, many players assume that any Microsoft saga will eventually leave the Xbox ecosystem.

However, Jez Corden, a journalist from Windows Central and one of the most well-known voices in the Xbox community, believes that there will still be significant exceptions. And one of them could be Halo itself.

During a recent intervention, Corden stated that he is convinced Microsoft will change its stance on the future of the saga. According to him, he doesn’t think the next major Halo game (the project that would come after Halo: Combat Evolved Campaign Remake) will be released on PlayStation.

The journalist went even further with a phrase that has quickly begun to circulate among the community:

“If I’m wrong, I’ll shave my beard.”

Although Xbox currently maintains a more open and multi-platform strategy, Corden considers Halo to be a franchise too important to Xbox’s identity to completely abandon exclusivity in its future main releases.

Microsoft has not officially confirmed what will happen to the future of Halo outside the Xbox ecosystem, so everything remains speculative. Nevertheless, Jez Corden’s statements demonstrate that even within the Xbox community, there are still doubts about how far Microsoft’s new strategy will really go.
