Crimson Desert continues to gather opinions after its release, and although the game has started with a good reception, there are several aspects that are generating debate. One of the most commented on in recent hours has to do with mounts, a system that on paper seemed spectacular, but in practice is not quite convincing.
During its promotion, we saw striking scenes with dragons, bears, or even machines, which made us think of a wide and flexible system. However, once in the game, reality is quite different, and that has generated some disappointment among part of the community.
Crimson Desert’s mounts generate criticism for their restrictions
The main problem lies in how they are used within the game. Some mounts, like the dragon, can only be used for a limited time, forcing the player to wait before summoning them again. This breaks the sense of freedom that many were expecting.
In other cases, like the bear, the situation is even more peculiar: it is not unlocked permanently, but rather you have to find one on the map, tame it, and use it temporarily. This makes its use more occasional than habitual.
The only exception is the horse, which does function as a constant and unrestricted means of transportation, something that contrasts quite a bit with the rest of the available options.
For now, many players are asking for changes to this system to make it more accessible and less limited. It remains to be seen if Pearl Abyss decides to adjust it in future patches, although any modification could directly affect the game’s balance.
