In a moment when the use of artificial intelligence in video games is generating more and more debate, Capcom has wanted to position itself clearly. The Japanese company has confirmed that it will not include AI-generated materials in its final games, betting on a development completely based on the work of its teams.
The statement comes in a context in which several recent productions have been pointed out for using generative tools, which has raised doubts among players about how some content is being created within current games.
Capcom ensures that its games will continue to be 100% created by humans
From the company itself, they have been forceful about it:
We will not implement AI-generated materials in the content of our games.
This means that elements such as graphics, models, textures, or any other visual resource will continue to be developed in a traditional way, without relying on automatic generation tools in the final product.
Capcom thus joins a stance that players are increasingly valuing, especially at a time when the industry is experimenting with new technologies. The decision also reinforces the identity of its productions, which have historically stood out for their artistic finish and attention to detail.
Beyond the debate, in Capcom’s titles, at least for now, human work will continue to be the basis of all the content that reaches the player.
