The Resident Evil saga just keeps on growing, and following the recent success of its latest releases, new details are emerging about one of the most anticipated projects among fans. According to a new leak, the remake of Resident Evil Code Veronica is allegedly in the hands of a team with direct experience in the franchise.
The information comes from renowned insider Dusk Golem, who has shared new data on the game’s development and who’s behind the project.
The teams behind RE2 and RE4 Remake would lead the project
According to this leak, the remake would be directed by Kazunori Kadoi and Yasuhiro Anpo, the same duo that was already at the helm of Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 4 Remake.
If confirmed, this would be a very positive sign, as both titles have been among the most highly valued in the saga in recent years, both by critics and players.
Additionally, the insider himself has explained that Capcom no longer works with closed teams as before. Instead, they adopt a more flexible model where developers collaborate on different projects according to their specialties.
A sweet moment for the Resident Evil saga
This possible remake would arrive at a particularly strong moment for the franchise, driven by the recent success of Resident Evil Requiem, which has become one of the most notable releases of the year.
For now, Capcom has not officially confirmed this project, so it’s best to take this information with caution. Still, the possibility of seeing Code Veronica return with the level of quality of the latest remakes is something that many fans have been waiting for.
