In light of the magnitude of the problem, Embark Studios has decided to intervene and offer compensation, something unusual within the game. The studio explained in a message posted on their official blog that the team is reviewing the reports sent by players to try to restore the missing items.

According to the statement, the intention is to return the lost equipment or rewards whenever possible, as long as the system allows verification of what happened during the match.

Embark also reminded that compensation is not usually guaranteed in these situations, especially when losses are not directly related to confirmed system errors. However, in this case, the number of affected players was large enough to take an exceptional measure.

A widespread problem

The problem has been particularly sensitive because ARC Raiders is based on a progression system where each mission involves risk and reward. Losing all the loot after a successful extraction due to a technical failure generated a lot of discontent among players.

Now the studio is seeking to regain the community’s trust with these refunds, while continuing to work on improving server stability to prevent similar incidents in the future.
