Capcom has several Resident Evil games in the works and the calendar is starting to clear up after Requiem

The Resident Evil saga is going through one of its most prolific moments. With a new release on the horizon and several projects moving in the background, Capcom has a broad roadmap for the next few years, combining main deliveries, remakes, and additional content. Although not everything is officially confirmed, the overall picture already allows us to get a fairly clear idea of what’s coming.

With rumors circulating for months, now is a good time to separate what’s already confirmed from what’s still in the phase of leaks or internal plans that haven’t been announced yet.

These are the confirmed and in-development Resident Evil games

The most immediate release is Resident Evil Requiem, which will arrive on February 27, 2026. In addition to the main campaign, Capcom is reportedly working on at least two DLCs, one of them focused on Alyssa Ashcroft, whose release would be scheduled for the end of this year.

In parallel, during 2026, new versions of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 Remake are also expected, along with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village, all of them destined for the Nintendo Switch 2, expanding the saga’s presence on Nintendo’s new console.

Looking ahead, Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake is aiming for early 2027, with an announcement expected at some point in 2026, according to insider Dusk Golem. For 2028, the focus would be on Resident Evil Zero Remake, while Resident Evil 10 would already be in early development, although its release is not expected before 2030.

Other projects remain uncertain. There’s talk of a possible Resident Evil 5 Remake, but there are no clear indications that it’s in active production. The status of Resident Evil 1 Remake and the project centered on Hunk is also unclear. Finally, Resident Evil Revelations 3 is said to have been internally canceled.

With this landscape, everything points to Resident Evil continuing to be one of Capcom’s pillars over the next decade, alternating major releases with modern revisions of its most beloved titles.
