Following its announcement at the end of January during the 40th-anniversary event of Dragon Ball in Japan, Dragon Ball Age 1000 remains shrouded in mystery. Since then, only a first trailer has been released, enough to confirm its existence and introduce a new character designed by Akira Toriyama, but leaving many questions in the air.
We know that the game is scheduled for release in 2027, although the platforms have not been officially confirmed. Everything suggests that it will arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and the future Switch 2, but for now, Bandai Namco has not confirmed this point.
The next big Dragon Ball event has a date
The wait to learn more details won’t be too long. Bandai Namco has confirmed that Dragon Ball Age 1000 will be showcased again during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, an event focused exclusively on the video games of the franchise.
The event will take place in Los Angeles on April 18 and 19, in the midst of the spring calendar, and will serve as a stage for new revelations. Although the format of the announcement has not been specified, it is likely that we will see a new trailer and more information about the project’s focus, setting, or main mechanics.
For now, there is no confirmation that gameplay will be shown, but the fact that the game will appear again in an official event indicates that development is progressing and that Bandai Namco is starting to prepare the ground for the coming months.
