This is how you can play Forza Horizon 6 before its official release on May 19

Following its presentation on the Xbox Developer Direct, Forza Horizon 6 now has a release date marked on the calendar: May 19, 2026 for Xbox Series, PC, and available from day one on Game Pass. But as is customary with major Xbox releases, there’s a way to start playing before the official launch.

The key lies in early access, a perk reserved for those who opt for the game’s premium editions.

How to access Forza Horizon 6 on Xbox before its release

Currently, the only way to play before May 19 is to purchase the Premium Edition of Forza Horizon 6 or, alternatively, the Premium Upgrade if you already own the standard version.

Forza Horizon 6 Premium Edition

• Price: 119.99 € on Xbox Store

• Early access: starting May 15, 2026 (4 days before)

The Premium Edition includes:

• Full game

• Forza VIP Membership

• Welcome Pack

• Car Pass

• Time Attack Car Pack

• Italian Passion Car Pack (available after launch)

• Two expansions that will arrive later

• 4-day early access

For now, this edition is only confirmed in digital format, with no news on a possible physical version.

Premium Upgrade for the standard edition

If you reserve or purchase the standard edition, you can separately purchase the Premium Upgrade, which unlocks all the content of the Premium Edition, including early access starting May 15.

In this way, Xbox players can start their journey through Japan before anyone else, explore the new map, and begin progressing in the Horizon Festival several days before the official release. For those who don’t want to wait, the path is clear: Premium Edition or Premium Upgrade.
