The wait is over for Xbox driving fans. During the Xbox Developer Direct, Forza Horizon 6 has been officially presented, confirming one of the most desired settings by the community: Japan. The new chapter of the saga developed by Playground Games aims to make a clear leap in scale, design, and ambition.
After the announcement, the game can already be pre-ordered in physical and digital formats, with a release date set for May 19, 2026 on Xbox Series and PC. The price of the standard edition is €69.99, following the line of previous installments.
Japan, Tokyo, and a new beginning in the Horizon Festival
One of the main protagonists of the presentation has been the map, described as the largest and most detailed ever created for the franchise. Playground Games has put special emphasis on Tokyo, a gigantic urban area that, according to the studio, is five times larger than any city seen before in Forza Horizon.

In terms of gameplay, Forza Horizon 6 introduces a renewed progression system. Instead of starting as seasoned drivers, players will begin as simple tourists, gradually rising through the ranks of the Horizon Festival as they immerse themselves in Japanese car culture. This approach reinforces the sense of discovery and growth from scratch.
