Celebrations for the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball continue this week with one of the most anticipated events by fans. Next Sunday, January 25th, Japan will host the Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri, a special event that can be followed live on YouTube, also from Spain, and which includes announcements related to anime, manga, merchandise… and video games.
Among the entire program, there is a block that stands out above the rest: a panel exclusively focused on a new Dragon Ball video game, whose official announcement is scheduled during the event. At this time, it has not been confirmed what title it is, which has sparked excitement among fans of the saga.
Schedule for the Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event in Spain
For the Spanish public, the event will take place at dawn, so it’s a good idea to have the schedules adapted to peninsular time clear:
-
02:00 – Announcement related to Dragon Ball Super
-
03:00 – Announcement of the new Dragon Ball video game
-
05:00 – Second announcement of Dragon Ball Super
-
06:00 – Updates on Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle and Dragon Ball Legends
-
07:15 – Dragon Ball Divers (arcade)
-
08:40 – Merchandise block
-
09:30 – Closing panel of the event
The video game announcement will take place at 03:00 on Sunday, January 25th in Spain, a not very friendly schedule, but key for those who want to see it live.
This panel will feature the presence of Masayuki Hirano, producer of Dragon Ball video games at Bandai Namco, and Jun Furutani, producer of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, which reinforces the importance of the announcement. For now, there are no official hints about the project, although speculation has already begun about a possible new major release for 2026.
If you’re a fan of the saga, Sunday’s dawn promises to be one of the most interesting of the year for Dragon Ball.
