Just hours before its official presentation, a new leak has revealed one of the most exciting contents of Chapter 7 of Fortnite. An unpublished video shows a completely different mode of play, which suggests a direct collaboration with the Fall Guys universe and is expected to be officially announced later today, Wednesday, January 21.
The leaked material leaves little room for doubt and allows us to see both the general approach and some of its main mechanics, confirming that Epic Games is still exploring alternative formats within the game.
Fortnite will launch a Fall Guys-inspired mode, according to the leak
According to the leak, the mode would be called Crown Jam and would feature 6v6 matches, divided into two teams of three players, in a colorful arena filled with interactive elements. Instead of eliminating opponents, the goal would be to collect a ball and score in the opposing team’s basket, a concept much closer to Fall Guys than traditional battle royale.
The video also shows trampolines to gain height, dynamic obstacles, and temporary power-ups, such as one that increases the character’s size, adding a chaotic and visually stunning component to each match. Everything suggests that Crown Jam would be a limited-time mode, with exclusive free rewards available while it’s active.
For now, Epic Games has not officially confirmed the information, so it’s best to treat it as a leak until the expected announcement later today. If confirmed, it would be one of the most exciting twists in Chapter 7 and a new way to integrate the aesthetics and challenges of Fall Guys into Fortnite.
