Xbox continues to strengthen its unified ecosystem between console and PC. From today, three major games from the Resident Evil saga become compatible with Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing you to buy them once and play them on both Xbox and PC without additional cost.
This means access to the same license, shared progress, and the ability to switch between platforms as needed, which is especially useful for those who play on multiple devices or combine console and PC.
Resident Evil joins Xbox Play Anywhere
The titles that already have Xbox Play Anywhere compatibility are:
-
Resident Evil 2 Remake
-
Resident Evil 7 biohazard
-
Resident Evil Village
In all three cases, buying digitally from the Xbox Store gives you automatic access to the Xbox Series / Xbox One and PC version, keeping your progress synchronized and without the need to purchase the game twice.
This move further enhances the appeal of the Xbox ecosystem, especially for a saga as relevant as Resident Evil, and makes it easier to return to these games at any time and on any platform without friction. For many players, it’s a very welcome improvement that adds direct value to games already available in the catalog.
