On August 26, Helldivers 2 landed on Xbox Series, and initial reports already pointed to a strong start on the platform. Now, a new study by analytics firm Newzoo, shared through GamesIndustry.biz, confirms that this launch gave the game a substantial revenue boost.

According to data collected in key territories such as the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy, Arrowhead’s title ranked 4th in consolidated PC and console revenue for the month of August. A spectacular leap considering it was in 37th place the previous month.

Xbox contributes to Helldivers 2’s recent success

The report also details that Helldivers 2 reached 13th place in terms of global engagement, i.e., playtime and user activity on the analyzed platforms. If we focus exclusively on Xbox players, the game climbed even higher, reaching 11th place.

This performance reinforces the title’s appeal on Xbox, where its launch coincided with significant interest from the community after weeks of waiting. Let’s not forget that we’re talking about a cooperative shooter with a shared progression system and constantly evolving content, something that fits perfectly with the profile of console players.
