We’ve already entered the month of August, marking the final weeks of summer and slowly approaching the final stretch of the year, which will kick off in September.
Although these hot months are more relaxed in terms of major releases, we do have some notable games to highlight that are making their debut to make the summer more bearable, with great examples even within Xbox Game Studios, such as Grounded 2.
Grounded 2 Kicks Off with Early Access
This title was officially announced at the last Xbox event in June and confirmed its release for late July, which has happened on Xbox consoles and PC, being a huge success and surpassing the first game in terms of active players.
Just like the first game in the series, Grounded 2 has launched in early access, making it clear that there’s still a lot of work to be done in terms of performance and optimization, as the frame rate on Xbox Series X/S is still far from stable, not to mention unfinished visual elements, as can be seen in the video published by the ElAnalistaDeBits channel.
Grounded 2 still has a long way to go in its early access phase, but everything points to it being much bigger than its predecessor in every way, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for any updates that Obsidian adds over time.
