Technology never stops, and companies are always looking for new ways to not only please gamers but also to improve their experience. And one of the companies that focuses the most on this is Razer, which always offers the most cutting-edge technologies on the market for both consoles and PC, and knows what gamers want.
And within all this, we find a winning combination: the Basilisk V3 Pro gaming mouse and the HyperFlux V2 mouse pad. A duo that offers high performance for any PC gamer and a new level of comfort. Because both elements combine perfectly, as the HyperFlux V2 allows us to charge the mouse directly while playing. Without the need to stop, connect it to the computer or its charging base (which is sold separately).
A multi-use mouse pad
We’ll start by talking about the HyperFlux V2. A gaming mouse pad that connects directly to the PC via a USB connection (it can be either type C or A) and synchronizes very quickly with the Basilisk V3 Pro. Everything is as simple as changing the mouse base with the one that comes included with the mouse pad and as soon as we put it on it, they will synchronize automatically. All thanks to Razer’s 2.4 GHz HyperSpeed technology.
Once synchronized, we won’t have to do anything else. The mouse will always charge when it’s on the pad and will indicate its status with an LED indicator. Additionally, we can adjust the maximum charge we want, thus increasing the health and durability of our devices.
Why yes, beyond the Basilisk V3 Pro 35K that we’ve tested it with, the HyperFlux V2 is a mouse pad compatible with a wide variety of Razer mice and keyboards. In addition to the aforementioned, it is also compatible with the following models: Razer Basilisk V3 Pro, Razer Cobra Pro, and Razer Naga V2 Pro.
As for keyboards, although they cannot be charged via the mouse pad, it does allow for direct connection to our computer from it thanks to HyperSpeed. Among the compatible models are: Razer BlackWidow V4 Mini HyperSpeed, Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro, Razer DeathStalker V2 Pro, Razer DeathStalker V2 Pro Tenkeyless
Beyond this wireless charging and connection functionality, the HyperFlux V2 is a very complete mouse pad. It features two available surfaces, one harder, ideal for fast movements, and another version with a cloth surface, ideal for greater control. Additionally, it has a non-slip base that fits very well on any surface and prevents it from moving even a centimeter while using the mouse on it.
- The Hyperflux V2 is available for a price of 139.99€.
Basilisk V3 Pro 35K, the most advanced gaming mouse on the market
It’s time to talk about what is possibly one of the most advanced and complete gaming mice on the market. An evolution of the Basilisk V3 Pro and a new step in its high-end range within mice, which, as we anticipate, has exceptional performance and enormous customization capabilities.
This new mouse maintains the ergonomics of the line, with an ergonomic design, a slightly larger size that allows us to hold it completely with the palm of our hand and a small thumb rest on the side where we can rest our thumb. To this, we must add the roughness on both sides, which allows for an even more precise grip.
With all this, we are faced with a peripheral that adapts wonderfully to our hand, with a very comfortable grip and an ideal position for long gaming sessions. Additionally, it has a weight of 112 grams, so it feels quite light.
As for the sensor, we find the second-generation Razer Focus Pro. This translates into superlative performance, with a definition of up to 35,000 DPI at a maximum speed of 750 IPS. All this seasoned with asymmetric tracking and movement synchronization. The result? A precision within the reach of very few, because, without a doubt, we are facing a premium configuration.
In terms of buttons, we find a scroll wheel that is the crown jewel. It features Razer HyperScroll technology, which allows us to choose between stepped or free scrolling depending on our interest in each game or situation. Additionally, we also have the option of free scrolling with up to five levels of resistance.
The main buttons feature third-generation Razer optical switches, which ensures that their response time is 0.2 ms. And yes, they are free from the dreaded double click. To these buttons, we add two more central ones under the wheel, two elongated ones on the left side, and another one at the front of the thumb rest. Perhaps this last one is the only one that leaves a small bitter taste, since due to its position, it is very easy to press it without wanting to with the thumb.
All of them are completely configurable thanks to connectivity with Razer Synapse, the company’s program where we can not only select what each of the buttons does, but also configure the wheel, the mouse’s RGB, and a wide range of options.
As for the Basilisk V3 Pro 35K’s connectivity, it’s very simple and intuitive. We’re basically looking at a plug-and-play, since all we need to do is plug in the included USB-A into the computer and, after downloading some drivers and Razer Synapse (if we don’t already have it installed), it will be ready to play. All automatic and fast.
Of course, for wireless connectivity, it features Razer HyperSpeed Wireless technology with a frequency of 1000 Hz and ultra-low latency. Its autonomy is close to 140 hours of play, even with long sessions.
- The Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K is available from 179.99€.
In short, both the HyperFlux V2 and the Basilisk V3 Pro 35K are two premium products that offer the best experience for the most gamer user. The mouse is one of the best in the high-end range that we can find on the market, especially in the wireless sector. It perfectly combines performance and precision without leaving behind comfort. Additionally, its design and materials have a premium finish that is noticeable from the first moment.
For its part, the HyperFlux V2 is the ideal complement for any Razer device. It not only serves as a high-end mouse pad but also adds a series of features that will make gaming sessions even more comfortable.
Without a doubt, a winning combination.
