The studio OwlCat Games has introduced its new project, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, an action RPG in third person set in a scenario of deep space, ruthless corporations, and ruined settlements. Although it’s still a little-known title by the general public, it has already generated significant interest in the gaming community after its presentation at the Future Game Show of 2025.
The narrative structure of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn has been described as branching, with a focus on moral choices reminiscent of titles like Mass Effect.
A complex future world where survival is a challenge
The game’s adult and dramatic tone, with dialogues that reflect the complexity of a future world where survival often requires difficult compromises, has also been highlighted as a key element of the title. The gameplay phases shown so far alternate between exploration phases, real-time combat, and very deep narrative interactions, promising a complete RPG experience.
The game has been compared to the series The Expanse, not only due to its setting and tone, but also due to its narrative structure and focus on moral choices. Fans of the science fiction series may find in The Expanse: Osiris Reborn an experience that reminds them of the original series, with a focus on the complexity and maturity of the plot.
The studio has confirmed that the game will arrive on consoles and PC throughout 2025, with more details to be revealed in the coming months.
