It is possible that we will see some powerful announcement during the event. It is still early to make guesses about what we could see there.

The Gamescom 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most important events in the gaming calendar this year, and several companies have already confirmed their presence at the fair. Among them is Xbox, which has announced that it will be attending the celebration, taking place in Cologne, Germany, from August 20 to 24, 2025. Although Microsoft has not yet detailed which games it will bring to the event, it’s likely that we’ll hear more about it soon.
Gamescom 2025 will feature an opening night, or “Opening Night Live,” on August 19, which will serve as the starting gun for major announcements. The event itself will be divided into different areas, including a main entertainment space where developers will showcase playable demos of their titles, and an area dedicated to independent games that promises a more relaxed atmosphere and direct interaction with creators. This will allow attendees to explore both the big reveals and AAA titles as well as the most innovative proposals from the indie scene.

Gamescom 2025: Which other companies will be attending the event?
In addition to Xbox, other renowned companies that will be present at Gamescom 2025 include Nintendo, which will focus its exhibition on the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled for release in June 2025. Other exhibitors will include Epic Games, Warner Bros. Games, Bethesda, ID@Xbox, Supercell, Pokémon GO, Roblox, Twitch, Arc System Works, Bandai Namco, Garena, Level Infinite, Steam, Sega, Ubisoft, Gravity, and Devolver Digital.
Personally, I hope we’ll see something playable from one of Xbox Game Studios’ upcoming releases, perhaps something like Grounded 2, although that might be a bit too early to show off in a European event.
