You didn’t expect it: Jurassic Park comes to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

The archipelago where the world’s most famous dinosaur park was established will arrive in the latest version of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in a quite unexpected crossover. The collaboration comes from Orbx, a scenario developer for the Asobo simulator that had already released some airports for the Papua New Guinea area and other surrounding zones.

The project, called Jurassic World: Archipelago, will feature the collaboration and official licensing of Universal Products and Experiences and will have its own story. The scenario in question is located in the Costa Rica area and is set chronologically before the 2015 Jurassic World movie, meaning the park is operational but not fully controlled.

Virtual pilots will be able to explore the territory freely and complete various missions such as photo tours, skill tests, and even VIP transports. The developers have announced that there will be at least 6 different runways and twice as many helipads throughout the area.

As expected, the pack will include several dinosaurs that can be observed as part of the local fauna, and not just flying creatures – there will be all sorts of beasts, with the following confirmed so far: apatosauruses, branquiosauruses, dimorfodones, gallimimuses, mosasaurs, pteranodons, stegosauruses, and the crowd favorites: tyrannosaurus rex and velociraptors.
