Xbox Player Voice has only been active for a few days and Microsoft has already started responding directly to some of the most popular requests from the community. The company has just implemented a small but interesting feature that many players had been asking for within the Xbox ecosystem.
Although it’s not a huge change, it shows that Microsoft seems to be taking the new suggestion portal seriously, especially during this new era of Xbox. The novelty has arrived surprisingly quickly, something that many users didn’t expect, given how recent Xbox Player Voice is.
Xbox will change gameplay time from days to total hours
The feature added by Microsoft modifies the way Xbox displays gameplay time within profiles and statistics. Until now, many games showed progress in accumulated days, something that had been generating comments within the community for years.
- From now on, Xbox will start showing gameplay time in total hours, an option that many players consider much clearer and more accurate for consulting statistics.
- Xbox itself confirmed that this new feature is already being rolled out to some users of the Alpha Xbox Insider program and will later arrive for the rest of the players, both on console and PC.
- Additionally, Jason Ronald also wanted to publicly highlight that this becomes the first new feature implemented thanks to the suggestions received through Xbox Player Voice.
The most striking thing is that the request was among the most voted on the platform just hours before being approved by Microsoft, something that has caused quite a positive surprise within the Xbox community. Although it’s a relatively small adjustment, it does make it clear that Microsoft wants to convey the feeling that players’ opinions will now have much more weight in the future development of the Xbox ecosystem.
