Steam keeps adding new free games, but this time it’s not about a recent release. Two titles that were previously paid have officially changed their model and are now free-to-play, allowing any player to add them to their library and keep them forever.
These two proposals are very different from each other, with an open-world survival experience as the main attraction and a dungeon RPG for those who prefer action and looting.
Both games are now free on Steam
The most striking change corresponds to Prologue: Go Wayback!, a roguelike survival adventure for one player that stands out for generating a huge new world in each game. Thanks to the technology used by its creators, each adventure takes place in a different 64 km² map, forcing the player to navigate with a compass and map while fighting against hunger, thirst, and weather conditions.
- A new procedurally generated map in each game.
- Dynamic weather and day-night cycle system.
- Survival based on hunger, thirst, and body temperature.
- Free exploration without markers or aids.
- Use of compass and map to navigate.
- Customizable configuration for each game.
On the other hand, Soul of the Dungeon has also adopted the free format, offering an experience focused on dungeon exploration, combat, and character progression.
Both titles can now be downloaded for free from Steam and will remain available permanently for all players. For those who enjoy discovering new proposals on PC, they are two interesting additions to expand their library without spending a euro.
