The arrival of the first games from the original Xbox to PC has marked a before and after for Microsoft’s preservation strategy. After years of rumors, the company has begun to transfer part of its retro-compatible catalog to Windows, allowing native play from the Xbox app for several classics that until now could only be enjoyed on console.

The move has sparked great excitement among players, especially after dataminers discovered hints that Microsoft already had the infrastructure ready to expand the catalog in the coming months. Although Xbox has not confirmed which titles will be next, there is a list of retro-compatible games from the first Xbox that are likely to arrive on PC as well.

The original Xbox games that could arrive on PC soon

Although Microsoft has not yet confirmed the schedule for new additions, the company has already made it clear that this is just the beginning.
