According to John Harker, a well-known member of the ResetEra community, a project related to Chrono Trigger is already in development at Square Enix. Although he hasn’t provided specific details or clarified the scope of the project, his words have been interpreted as a possible confirmation that the remake is underway.

A Chrono Trigger remake on the way, but no official confirmation

The Japanese company hasn’t made any formal announcements yet. However, in the past, figures linked to the original project have dropped comments that fuel speculation. Among them is Yuji Horii, who has hinted on more than one occasion that there are plans to revive the franchise, although without going into details.
